Make Users Like Your Company On Social Media Sites
In our previous issue, we discussed about creating a Fan Page on Facebook. In this issue we are going to talk about getting people to like your business on Facebook.
Before actually doing something to get more 'Like' clicks, you should first know the primary problem when making your Fan Page as noticeable as possible. The major issue in using a Fan Page is the awareness of the Facebook users.
In order to make people aware of your business, you should look for other ways that will allow you to display your URL address. You can try tapping into your employees and other contacts. Broadcast the launch of your Facebook Fan Page by sending notifications. If you're a big company, then you can easily get a few hundred Likes within the company right away.
A number of organizations even make it compulsory for their workers to include the Facebook account in their e-mail signature. With this, it will be easier for the company to connect with personal and professional contacts of their employees. A business can also raise awareness with the use of their Twitter and LinkedIn account. Strategies like article advertising and distribution of press releases are effective as well.
All in all, the impact of social media management is tremendous when played right. One should never stop trying to build awareness for their account. Simply put, Facebook needs unique visitors for your website to flourish.
Now that you know this, let's move on to the difficult but not impossible task of getting as much 'Likes' as possible when using Facebook for Business. You'll know your business is well-recognized when you have achieved several thousands of Facebook 'Likes'. It tells how your business is very much visible online. The more Likes a Fan page has, the more it can disseminate its updates and affairs to present and potential customers. To get more 'Likes' your page should be like a well-oiled machine. It should give out constant updates, upload photos that will entice potential customers and use applications that help share its promos and sales.
To make certain these responsibilities are carried out consistently, assign a group of your employees to serve as moderators. Make HR or Marketing the primary group in charge. If however, you're running a small business with a limited amount of employees or if you're running it yourself, consider outsourcing the task and use applications like Hootsuite which sends out updates on a regular basis.
This may sound too tricky and time-consuming but you should keep at it. The work will pay off if you stay consistent and organized. Each company will have different guidelines as to how active they want their account to be but always remember that all updates, posts and activities should be done with a degree of professionalism in mind.
Treat the Facebook account like you would a newsletter and your clients the primary audience. Give out updates that are always positive but not too full of hype. A lot of fluff will discount your credibility online. Useful posts such as informative notes, seminar photos, press releases and links from close affiliates are more ideal.
Furthermore, effective Facebook marketing means that you should make use of incentives, promos and other activities then advertise them exclusively on the site. This way, customers are easily led to the account and you will garner positive associations from it. Know that word-of-mouth is still the best form of advertising despite the powers of social media. That is why it's important to take good care of your present customers as this will determine your level of "share-ability".
Check out our next issue. We shall focus on the ways on how to use special offers, competitions and give-aways to catch the attention of more Facebook Fans.
