Browsing For A Terrific Motion Picture? Check Out These Fantastic Motion Picture Opinions

Wonderful opinions of some of the most outstanding motion pictures that you may choose from starting here. Roll Bounce – A group of skate-admiring adolescents on Chicago's South Side have to prove themselves to the snobs on the other side of town while their community skating rink closes, all whilst facing the pleasures and pangs of growing up. As craze-based coming of age films go, this is a level or two underneath Saturday Night Fever and an improvement over Roller Boogie. Cast includes Bow Wow, Chi McBride, Mike Epps, Wesley Jonathan, Kellita Smith, Meagan Good, and Tim Kazurinsky. (112 minutes, 2005)

The Hex – Actor Keith steps behind the camcorder to direct this down-home terror film. A lethal meteorite lands on a Tennessee farm, indisputably driving the people insane after contaminating their food. Cast includes Will Wheaton, Claude Akins, Cooper Huckabee, John Schneider, and Amy Wheaton.

In Enemy Country – So-so designer of WW2 enthrall, set in France and England, filmed on a back-lot. Not extremely persuading. Cast includes Tony Franciosa, Anjanette Comer, Guy Stockwell, Paul Hubschmid, Tom Bell, and Emile Genest.

Cry the Beloved Country – Moving redo of the 1951 film based on Alan Paton's beloved story, in reference to a backwoods pastor (Jones) who, in 1946, makes his first ever trip to the city of Johannesburg in search of his wayward child. At the same time well-to-do landowner Harris voyages there to claim the body of his child, who has just been murdered. We see unparalleled work by Jones, Harris, and a largely foreign cast. Not as understated as the first making, however powerful in its own way. Cast includes Richard Harris, James Earl Jones, Charles S. Dutton, and Vusi Kunene.

The Gorgeous Hussy – Megastars fill the cast list in this fictionalized historical drama of Peggy O'Neal, President Andrew Jackson's covert lover. The cast is marvelously costumed in well assigned settings. The movie is based on the novel by Samuel Hopkins Joyce. Cast includes Joan Crawford, Robert Taylor, Lionel Barrymore, Franchot Tone, Melvyn Douglas, James Stewart, Alison Skipworth, Beulah Bondi, and Gene Lockhart.

Faces – Exceedingly personal drama in regards to frequent infidelities is one of the few Cassel films to become a big hit. Here's a commanding motion picture with breathtaking action, particularly by Carlin and Cassel. Cast includes John Marley, Gena Rowlands, Lynn Carlin, Seymour Cassel, Fred Draper, and Val Avery.

Michael – A set of cynical reporters and a false "angel" find that a dotty old woman's contention that the archangel Michael is living with her is real. Michael, even so, turns out not to be your typical angel. Pleasant, wry movie by no means goes where you expect and takes its time getting there, however the journey is appealing, and Travolta, as the sleazy, randy Michael, is faultlessly cast. Cast includes John Travolta, Andie MacDowell, William Hurt, Robert Pastorelli, Bob Hoskins, Jean Stapleton, Teri Garr, Wally Ward, Joey Lauren Adams, Carla Gugino, Tom Hodges, and Wallace Langham.

Life on a Strand – Musical, beautifully filmed narrative of a blind boy who's informed by his teacher that his eyesight can be repaired if he commits his life to music; he gets to be a saintly old gentleman still without ability to see who voyages from village to village with his young scholar harmonizing melodies, which he finds emotionally nurturing. Considerate film full with poetic energy, and a soundtrack of remarkable melodies. Cast includes Liu Zhong Yuan, Huang Lei, Xu Qing, Ma Ling, and Zhang Zhengguan.

Danny Boy – Ambitious though arrogant, inexorably boring melodrama of sax player Rea, who trades his sax for a gun after observing a triple assassination. This was Jordan's directorial introduction, which he furthermore did the screenplay. He and leading guy Rea later reteamed for The Weeping Game.

Dracula Has Risen From The Grave – Dracula runs afoul of small-town monsignor while he chases the churchman's beautiful blonde niece. Cast includes Christopher Lee, Rupert Davies, Veronica Carlson, Barbara Ewing, Barry Andrews, and Michael Ripper.
